The Strategic Health Authority are asking all Learning Disability Partnership Boards to do a “Health Check” of their services. This is to make sure that we are doing what we should be doing for the health needs of people who have learning disabilities.
As well as telling them what we think, it is important that we include what people with learning disabilities and their carers think.
On the 30th March we are holding a special ‘Healthy Lives’ meeting. The Healthy Lives group is an advisory group to the Partnership Board. It is a well attended and very productive group.
We would like to invite around six carers who have experience of learning disability health services in Walsall to attend the meeting and help us complete the assessment.
The meeting will be on from 10.30am until 12.30pm, with lunch afterwards. Anyone who is interested in helping us can call Sam Davies on 01922 650367 for more details.
